One used to just right click in the footer and select 'add file name and path. Why do they have to fix things that are not broken?

To avoid any confusion, rather than 'Click Insert / Design', it is 'Click HEADER design tab' (which is a long way to the right). The instruction Click Insert / Design is ambiguous as in word 2013 (or in mine at least) there is a DESIGN tab (near the left) which doesn't have Quick Parts.

Hi there, I'm just wandering if the following question is possible please ??Is it possible to add a not-seen-on-printout field for when the document should next be reviewed for updating? For example, email templates saved in a word document could have Next Review and Revision: 05.07.17. Once this revision had been done, the date could be replaced by a new one, one year in advance.Thank you in advance,Kirsten

Great explanation but such a tedious, time consuming process. Do the developers at Microsoft not think that it would be helpful were there a more streamlined and quicker way of inserting a path at the bottom of a document?

Instead of clicking on quick parts and going to File, just click on Document Info and select File Path from the drop-down options. This is how I have always done it. I wish there was an easier way to have it automatically update the File Path if the document moves locations!
